Blood nutrition panel: how it works and why it matters

Your blood nutrition panel helps you understand how your body is doing right now when it comes to key nutrients. While your genetics show what your body may need long term, your blood levels show what is currently happening inside your body. Together, this information helps us fine-tune your personalized nutrition recommendations.

What the blood nutrition panel measures

This panel looks at your current blood levels of the following nutrients:

  • Folate
  • Iron
  • Magnesium
  • Selenium
  • Zinc
  • Vitamins A, B12, C, D, E, and K

These nutrients play important roles in energy, immunity, bone health, metabolism, and overall wellbeing.

Why blood levels matter

Even with a balanced diet, nutrient levels can vary from person to person. Your blood levels can be influenced by:

  • Diet and supplement intake
  • How well your body absorbs or uses certain nutrients
  • Lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, and activity
  • Your genetics
  • Time of year

Blood data shows if your body may need more or less of a certain nutrient right now.

How to read your results

Each nutrient will fall into one of three categories:

  • Below the normal range
  • Within the normal range
  • Above the normal range

These ranges are meant to guide support, not to label something as good or bad.

How genetics and blood levels work together

Your genetics can influence how much of a nutrient your body needs. Some people require more of certain nutrients to feel and function their best, even with a healthy diet.

By combining your genetic insights with your blood levels, GenoPalate can provide more precise and personalized recommendations.

How we use this information

Your blood results help guide:

  • Adjustments to your GenoVit formula
  • Food recommendations that support balance
  • Personalized guidance from a GenoPalate health coach

If a nutrient is low, we focus on supporting it. If a nutrient is high, we focus on reducing excess. The goal is balance.

How often blood levels can change

Blood nutrient levels will shift over time based on food and supplement intake and lifestyle choices. Changes often happen gradually, and checking in over time helps track progress. When a nutrient falls out of range, it is recommended to make adjustments and retest in 3 to 6 months to determine whether further adjustments are warranted.

How health coaching fits in

For users who want extra support, GenoPalate health coaches are available to help you review your results and turn them into action. A coach can help you:

  • Make sense of your blood results within the context of your unique genetics
  • Create a nutrition plan that fits your lifestyle
  • Stay consistent and adjust as your needs change

Coaching is optional and designed to meet you where you are.
